Pathology Alliance NHS webinar series on Covid-19/SARS-CoV-2 testing at scale

Tuesday 23rd June 2020, 12:00–13:30.

In response to the current pandemic, the Pathology Alliance is hosting a series of webinars focused on the current challenges faced by the NHS in testing at scale for Covid-19/SARS-CoV-2. These webinars are designed to enable bidirectional, solution-orientated, information sharing between the NHS diagnostics community and the National Covid-19 Testing Cell.

In the long-term, the aim is to use these webinars to build a community of practice across the laboratory network, through and beyond Covid.

There is an action-packed line-up in store for the upcoming Pathology Alliance NHS Engagement webinar. Speakers will include:

  • Professor Jo Martin (Chair of the Pathology Alliance and President of the Royal College of Pathologists), who will be discussing the new RCPath Testing Strategy
  • Piers Ricketts (Chair of the Academic Health Science Network and Chief Executive of the Eastern AHSN), who will be talking about the work of the Diagnostics Innovations Team
  • Helen Bevan (Chief Transformation Officer, NHS Horizons), who will be facilitating a session around shared purpose and the development of a community of practice

The target audience for this event are individuals from the NHS diagnostics community, with an active role in testing for Covid-19/SARS-CoV-2, namely: lab managers, clinical scientists, biomedical scientists, pathologists, virologists, immunologists, and academic scientists.

These interactive webinars are hosted on the fourth Tuesday of every month, 12:00-13:30. The joining details will be available on the Pathology Alliance Virtual Forum 1 hour before the start of each webinar.

All webinars will be uploaded onto the Testing Methods Crowdsourcing Platform after each session. View previous sessions.
