National Education Bursary

National Education Bursaries are awarded by the Association’s Education and Training & Workforce Committee to attend scientific meetings or specialist training courses. They are not intended to fund basic training.

The bursary of up to £500 can be used to cover whole or in part expenses for travel, registration and anything that enables access for example additional caring costs associated with attending a meeting. The bursary can be used in conjunction with other funding sources including the Association’s regional bursaries that are awarded by the Lab Med’s regional committees.

All applications are reviewed by the Director and Deputy Director of Education, Training and Workforce and the Director of Finance.
