External Examiner Required for MSc Clinical Science (Infection Science)

22/03/2016 13:28:54

We are seeking to appoint an external examiner who will primarily examine the MSc Clinical Science (Infection Science) but will also participate in the exam board for the MSc Biomedical Science (Medical Microbiology) and MSc Clinical Microbiology at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. Our previous external examiners have been Tim Wreghitt and Paul Klapper.

We would like to appoint a consultant clinical scientist in microbiology/virology (or equivalent) to serve as external examiner for 4 years from September 2016.

The current commitment for an external examiner is to approve examination papers, moderate the marking of exam scripts and projects, attend the MSc Clinical Science (Infection Science) viva and attend two exam boards a year, usually in June and September at a date arranged to be convenient for the examiners. The viva and June exam board traditionally take place on the same day.

If you would like further information or would like to express an interest in this role, please do not hesitate to contact Michele Branscombe, Lecturer in Infection Science

Please feel free to pass this to any other consultant microbiologists, including clinicians as we are also seeking a lead external examiner for the MSc Clinical Microbiology.
