Apply now for funded MSc courses & CPD modules in genomics

NHS and public health professionals are being invited to apply for funded places on a new MSc in Genomic Medicine with associated CPD modules through the Health Education England Genomics Education Programme (GEP), with the first intake taking place in September 2015.

The course provides a multi-disciplinary and multi-professional programme in genomics that can be applied to both clinical practice and medical research.  It has been developed by the GEP to ensure NHS staff have appropriate skills to support the development of genomic technologies within the healthcare system, particularly around the 100,000 Genomes Project.

The Masters will be delivered through a national network of 9 universities with modules including: the range of multi-omics technologies; the genomics of rare and common acquired disease; the molecular pathology of cancer and bioinformatic interpretation.

Eligibility & application process

The course is open to healthcare professionals from the full range of professional backgrounds and groups (such as medicine, nursing, healthcare scientists and technologists). You will also need the support of your line manager in your employing organisation.

More information about the course and curriculum and how to apply is available through the GEP website.
