Make sure your GPs are receiving electronic reports correctly

Ensuring GPs receive electronic reports in the correct format - Your help is needed!

The Pathology Bounded Code List (PBCL) used by all laboratories in England and Wales to send pathology reports to GPs via PMIP has been undergoing revision. The purpose of this is to:

The new additions to the tables on the PMIP website are the first of a series showing full analyte name using the Editorial Principles for the emerging NLMC, UoM and DCI together with the PBCL name, Read code and V2 code.The Pathology Catalogue Team in the College is keen to receive any comments on the revision and suggestions for any additional items considered essential for pathology reports to GP that are not included.The complete dataset is visible on www.ychi.leeds.ac.uk/pmipunits where comments can also be posted - see PBCL Items on the menu – or e-mail Gifford.Batstone@nhs.net

Kindly send your comments by Nov 30 in order that all necessary changes can be made for the April TRUD release.
