Events: ACB Management & Leadership Course 2019

The 2019 ACB Management & Leadership Course information.

Date: 29th July - 2nd August 2019
Venue Christ Church University, Canterbury
Delegates Maximum of 32 (Specialist Registrars / Post-registration Clinical Biochemists, Immunologists and Microbiologists, and Consultants)

 

The week will build on the well established and acclaimed ACB management courses, the last one being held in 2017.
  • Designed for those preparing for FRCPath and senior laboratory management.

  • Utilising lectures, workshops, discussions, group projects, debates & presentations.

  • Led by senior members of the profession, NHS managers and the diagnostic industry.

The course has evolved to include recent changes within healthcare provision in the UK and will look at the NHS, its changing structure, its finance and staff groups. It will provide sessions on the psychology of organisation structures, managing budgets and demand, laboratory organisation, training, employment legislation, ethics, appraisal and people management.  Sessions on clinical leadership, procurement and change management will also be included.

For ACB members the course cost, inclusive of accommodation and meals, is £695. The price for non-members is £850.
