Wellcome Prize
First donated in 1972 by Wellcome Reagents Ltd, this prize is no longer awarded. The prize (cheque and a piece of engraved glass) was presented to the recipient after a plenary lecture delivered at The National Meeting of the Association. The recipient was decided by Council after considering nominations of a clinical biochemist who had made a significant contribution to the quality of laboratory practice.
