Scientific Activities

The ACB Scientific Committee and Clinical Practice Section commission and oversee the production and approval of various publications, guidelines and scientific work. Links to these can be found in the left hand column of this page.

Applications for scientific scholarships are invited in May of each year via an advertisement in ACB news. An application form will be available for download from the members section of the ACB website from the date of the advertisement. The completed application form with supporting documentation should be sent to the Deputy Director of Scientific affairs by the declared closing date. (usually 3 months after the appearance of the first advertisement).

The Annals of Clinical Biochemistry is the official journal of The ACB and is edited in collaboration with de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Klinische Chemie and the Japan Society of Clinical Chemistry. It is free to members and online access to the full text copy can be achieved through the ACB Secure Members Area. This international journal of biochemistry in medicine is published 6 times per annum.

The ACB also support an active professional email discussion list hosted by Jiscmail (formerly Mailbase). Members are welcome to join this list and participate in the latest debates. The archives of past discussions can also be accessed online.
