Roche Award

The Roche  Award is a donation of £2,000. It will be used by the ACB to finance the visit of an international lecturer to give the Roche Award Lecture at the National Meeting of the Association. The invited lecturer may be asked to contribute to other aspects of the National Meeting.
Where a lecturer's expenses exceed the donated sum the Association will discuss with Roche Mannheim ways of meeting the extra costs.

Nominations for the award must be made in writing and signed by a proposer and two other members of the Association and should have the consent of the nominee.

Each nomination should state:-

  • the title of the proposed lecture.
  • the lecturer with a brief curriculum vitae.
  • an estimate of the expenditure required.
  • Nominations should be forwarded to the National Meetings Secretary before the National Meeting, one year in advance of the proposed lecture date. Full copies of all nominations will be circulated to all Council Members. If more than one nomination is received selection will be made by the Executive of Council following consultation with Council, the Scientific Committee and the organisers of the programme for the National Meeting concerned.
